Well the years have taken their share but my spirit is stronger than ever.
I was not sure where I would go with this new hobby but searching from Germany to California, Canada to Lousiana, and nearly every state between I now find myself back in my birth state of Virginia. I first used a metal detector, a Jetco Mustang back in 1977. I also go out on 'lost ring' locator calls in the area. I am interested in working with a dredge of about 4" which will go well with my SCUBA and underwater interests. I also do a bit of Prospecting using the Gold Detector, gold pans and a folding sluice from Wolf Trap Mining ( ). I started Metal Detecting in 1968 and currently have 2 underwater detectors and one gold and 4 coin detectors.

I been metal detecting since I was 9 years old, I've been hooked ever since that day! I 47 years young, I have a White's Coinmaster 6/DB Series 1 built in 1980, it hot on finding "silver" that why I got my nickname!-"Mr.Silver" I collect and find old bottles(and resale them), collect coins,indian artifacts(arrowheads). I enjoy the hunt and collecting through rockhounding, fossil hunting and metal detecting. Along with detecting: I enjoy kayaking, fishing, and performing music with my son and our band. I took an early retirement and do nothing but metal detect. Would love to meet fellow metal detectorists in my area. I feel blessed that the good people of the TQ family have taken me under their wing. I also love to travel and am hoping to take my detector to many different areas to give it a try. I am anticipating retiring within the next couple of years and am going to devote time to metal detecting somewhere where it is warm.
